Role Overview

At QVE, we are seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to enhance our embedded systems team. We focus on developing cutting-edge system-level technologies to enhance user interactions with smart devices. Your work will shape the future of embedded platforms, enabling seamless integration of AI, hardware, and software for next-generation IoT and edge computing applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement firmware solutions for embedded systems, focusing on reliability, performance, and hardware-software optimization.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, software, and product teams to define system-level requirements and design specifications.
  • Drive end-to-end system validation, including peripheral interfaces, SOC interactions, and low-level firmware integration.
  • Prototype and execute system software initiatives aligned with product roadmaps and strategic goals.
  • Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices for firmware development, testing, and documentation.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Linux Kernel development, including proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems.

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced degree (Master’s/PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in low-level hardware interfaces, peripheral driver development, or upstream Linux kernel contributions.
  • Proven track record of technical leadership, guiding project teams and driving technical strategy.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to align stakeholders across engineering domains.
